Linn County Commission minutes - June 23

June 23, 2020

The Linn County Commission met on this date with Commissioners King, Brown and Muck and County Clerk Stephenson present. Presiding Commissioner King called the meeting to order. The agenda for June 23, 2020 was reviewed.

The minutes of the June 16, 2020 meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Brown made a motion to approve and sign the minutes. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.

Commissioner Brown made a motion to approve bills as submitted for payment. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.

Back Tax Court Orders were reviewed and signed.

Larry Lane was in to sign his EWP program contract. As he is doing his own work, no escrow deposit is necessary.

Commissioner Muck asked Foreman Meek to look a bridge on Daisy Rd., may look at replacing it with tubes.

Foreman Meek reported that work on the soft match project on Afton Rd is slowly progressing.

The annual Chief Local Elected Officials (CLEO) agreement was received from the NW Workforce Development Board and reviewed for approval and signature. Commissioner King made a motion to accept and sign the agreement. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.

Charles West, candidate for US District 6 Representative, stopped in to visit.

Commissioner King left the meeting at 1:00pm.

Larry Forst was in to sign his EWP program contract and leave an escrow deposit.

Preliminary State audit findings were reviewed.

There being no further business, Commissioner Brown made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: Brown-yes and Muck-yes.
