Linn County Commission minutes - July 7

The Linn County Commission met on this date with Commissioners King, Brown and Muck and County Clerk Stephenson present. Presiding Commissioner King called the meeting to order. The agenda for July 7, 2020 was reviewed.

The minutes of the June 30, 2020 meeting were reviewed. Commissioner Brown made a motion to approve and sign the minutes. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.

Commissioner Brown made a motion to approve bills as submitted for payment. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.

Back Tax Court Orders were reviewed and signed.

Commissioner King reported on the Solid Waste Management meeting he recently attended. Budgets were approved; there will be no solid waste pickup scheduled this year.

A telemed option is being offered through the County’s health insurance at a cost of $5 employee per month. This was taken under advisement.

Replacing A/C units in Courthouse offices was discussed.

The Treasurer’s monthly reconciliation for June was reviewed.

Sheriff Henke was in to advise of a meeting this Thursday in with the Macon County Commission to discuss nursing care for prisoners.

There being no further business, Commissioner King made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Muck seconded the motion and the motion was passed. Vote recorded: King-yes, Brown-yes and Muck-yes.
