Suspects sought in Galt church fire

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those involved with a fire at Berry Church, north of Galt on the morning of June 28.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department and State Fire Marshal were called to investigate the fire which did extensive damage to the church, that has not been in use. The church had not been in use for some time.

State Fire Marshal Investigator Adam Crouch said the fire was started inside the building after the suspects broke into the church.

Area residents noticed the fire and were trying to put out the fire when the fire crews arrived.

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the individuals involved. If you have information, call the arson tip line at 1-800- 39ARSON or the Grundy County Sheriff’s office at 660-359-2828
