Brookfield was supposed to hold its first varsity baseball season since the program was resurrected.

Obviously, that didn’t happen.

Head coach Carey Davison said that there is a lot to be excited about. He loses no would-be seniors from the nonexistent 2019 season, and spoke upon a promising freshman class.

“I don’t have to worry about replacing anyone, and we have a bunch of kids incoming who are a surefire boost to the program,” Davison said. “It’s been hard to set up games with other schools, but that’s the same for everybody. The work we have been doing this summer will allow us to continue where we left off last season.

“I truly believe that our first full season of baseball at Brookfield will be something special.”
