Shipp recognized for internship

Claire Shipp was recently recognized for completing an internship with Congressman Sam Graves. Shipp a native of Dawn, just completed a summer internship in Graves’ Kansas City District Office.

“Claire joined our team just a few short months ago, but she immediately became an important member of our team, helping folks navigate the complex federal bureaucracy and helping my team effectively represent the people of North Missouri,” said Graves. “We were honored to have Ms. Shipp on our team and I know she will go on to make her family, community, and all of us proud in the future.”

She was the valedictorian of Chillicothe High School class of 2018, and is currently a junior majoring in agriculture business, public policy at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is also the executive director of the Associated Students of the University of Missouri, a student-led advocacy group that represents students from all four UM System campuses in Jefferson City. A member of the Collegiate Farm Bureau, vice-chair of the Intercampus Student Council, and a graduate of the prestigious Jerry Litton Leadership Cohort, Shipp is scheduled to graduate in December 2021.
