Vivian Jane Craigg, 78, of New Cambria, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Vivian was born on September 18, 1943, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Raymond and Luella (Simms) Rushton. She was united in marriage to Daniel Craigg on January 19, 1963, in Brookfield, MO. Vivian enjoyed working on the farm and helped with anything and everything that needed done. From fixing fences to working cattle to doing yard work, Vivian was a jack-of-all-trades. She also enjoyed gardening, her beloved dog “Taz”, and especially spending time with her family.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Daniel Craigg of New Cambria; two children, Rick Craigg and his wife Mary Lou, and Melissa Craigg and her fiance’ Randy White, one grandson, Hayden White, all of Macon, MO; one brother, Eddie Rushton and his wife Judy of Bevier, MO; one sister, Evelyn Lee of St. Louis, MO, and other extended family and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Felicia, and one sister, Marion Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Hutton & McElwain funeral home in Macon. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery in Lagonda, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Johnson Cemetery.
