MEADVILLE – Voters in the Meadville R-IV School District overwhelmingly approved a $1.2 million bond issue, with 109 votes in favor and just five against. The bond will allow the district to move forward with several key infrastructure projects, including resurfacing parking lots and tennis courts, reconfiguring student drop-off and pickup areas to improve safety, and making other facility repairs and upgrades as funding allows.
The district’s adjusted debt service levy is expected to remain steady at $1.05 per $100 of assessed valuation on both real and personal property.
Note: This issue was already passed by voters on an April ballot; however, due to an oversight in the Linn County Clerk’s office, it invalidated the results of the election, which delayed district projects and called for the issue to appear again this week on the ballot.
